The purpose of the fire barriers for curtain walls is to prevent the passage of fire, toxic gases, and smoke through the seam strip upward from floor to floor. Method:

The fire barriers will be designed and installed in the seam strip of the curtain walls and will completely seal them. The fire resistance time of the barrier will be 120 minutes. The barriers are made of rock wool in various densities, combined with a fireproof and waterproof elastomeric mastic. All solutions are always tested by burning in an oven as part of a complete system of a two-story curtain wall exposed to fire on both sides, in order to prove their functional ability, before installing them in the structure, for a curtain wall in a specific structure.

The installation of all fire barriers in the building will be planned in advance, submitted for approval, approved, installed and inspected by a certified inspector.
